Someone's been busy over the past months. A new Six Metre made it's maiden voyage this week as Paul Risdale launched his latest creation at Two Islands, a 'Sisken' design from the Lewis stable, wooden planked with aluminium spars.
Paul reports that it 'seemed reasonably well balanced so the mast is in the right place.
A gentle breeze with few gusts but the gusts just heeled the boat – no great changes in course.
The rudder is very powerful – I need to reduce the throw or make a smaller rudder.
It tacked cleanly (they always do when you are not in a race....)'.
Nice work Paul. We look forward to seeing it racing soon.
